The first two years or so of school I would always get worried right before a test. It used to be a running joke with my friends since my hands would shake so horribly...during my physics I exam I had to sit there and do nothing since my hands were shaking so badly I couldn't write! It was mostly due to the fact that I always questioned whether or not I'd studied enough to do well coupled with the fact that such a large percentage of my final grade was dependent on the score.

What I eventually figured out was that it wasn't always necessary to get a 90% or higher on the exam to really do well. All I had to do was to do better than most of the students in the course (obviously shooting for as high of a grade as possible) and be sure that the professor was aware that I was making a serious effort in his course to do well. Sometimes the material clicked and I was able to screw up the curve...other times I didn't do so well, but over the semester I would be in contact with the professor/TA so often that they were aware that I was doing as well as I could.

I always did, even when I was well prepared. Tests are usually high-stakes, so you have the pressure to do well so you can get a good grade in the class. Most teachers don't let you retake the test if you don't do as well as you would have liked. Also you usually don't know exactly what the test will look like (the exact questions that will be asked) and so that adds to the worry. Also, I'm just a natural worrier - if I don't know *exactly* what's going to happen and when, I worry about it - so that basically means that anything that is outside of my daily routine I worry about.

I forgot to add - I give the tests now! And even now sometimes I worry - I worry about making the test too hard or too easy or too long or too short. As I said, I'm a worrier!

that is a question of which i cant stick to one answer. its very important to have test-taking skills. im not worried about small tests or quizes. but when it comes to the big tests, its kinda good to be worried, therefor you are sure to study hard. i learned my test taking skills in 5th grade, quizes have been easy for me, and im always atleast a tiny bit worried for the big tests because i want to make the best.

No, I have learned great test taking skills, and know how to make an educated guess if I don't know the answer, and go in with confidence and usually do very well.
