I know of one that knows the ID name and must know the password to have the info he has. How do they do that? Without a court order.

A web site and an email account are not the same thing. Many people THINK that the internet is a private place, and I don't know how they come up with that. I think you can "block" some things on places like myspace, but not all.
In some ways the internet is like the public park. If you take all your personal stuff and lay it out in the middle of the park, why would you be mad if people see it and go through it? Hell.. if there is reason to think you are using a computer to commit a crime, the police can take it and go through the hard drive.
Don't get me wrong, I totally love the internet, and have been online over 20 yrs. But don't be stupid about what you put out there, and gripe if someone sees it, especially if it is personal.
