I have never sold anything is it quite straight forward and how do you know how much to charge for postage is there something on there to calculate it for you or do you sort it out your self

You must work out what the postage is yourself.

Go the post office site and they will explain all the charges you need for parcels etc.

It is pretty straight forward, just choose what catagory the item is in, write a descitption, put in a photo, and your pretty much done. To calculate postage, you can go to the usps website, type in an area code (I usually use the farthest state from me) and type in an estimate of its weight.

To calculate postage it depends on what you are selling. If you are selling books, magazines, videos, there is "media mail", which is cheaper than first class mail. You can do some research at usps.com and go to the section that is called "calculate postage".

One big tip that some e-bayers forget. Start your price extremely low but with a reserve on it. That way you will be sure of getting what you need for your product. Some people make more money on their postage and freight than they do selling the product.. Happy selling...

its all changed now to do with size and Weight, you can get a leaflet from the post office, get some scales to, the kind you stand on. Don't forget to add on your eBay fees, envelopes, bubble wrap and packaging to as these can be more than you expect. see what others are charging for similar items as well. Its a great way to get rid of stuff, make sure you get a receipt or send recorded delivery, just to cover yourself.

yes its pretty easy! you would have to sort the postage out yourself, just take it to the nearest post office and weight the parcel before putting it up for auction!
