Any comments about my (lack of avatar) are due to the fact that I couldn't find any options to make one that looked like darth vadar after the mask was taken off.

I believe that other people change their avatars so that on the web they could be a totally different person. They could be who they make themselves and others will believe them. It is an opportunity that many people take to change who they are with out really changing

Avatars don't account for such things as weight, height, and age. The faces are all fairly similar, so it's just a matter of the hair, skin tone, eye color and accessories.
Most people probably try to come as close as possible to their true appearance, unless they are trying to scam someone.

In my opinion it's really hard to make an avatar look like your true self . I mean all of them look the same age, same weight etc.

i don't look like my avatar either, but i have the common characteristics, like medium lenght brown hair, brown eyes, and if u look @ the clothes my avatar has, that's my taste of clothes
it's prob. cuz avatar doesn't have that many options. LOL!

Because Some People don't want to put there exact appearance as there avatar. Hope it helped.

It's hard to make a computer generated image look exactly like you when you have only a limited amount of choices. If we could choose face shape, lips, eyes, and weight rather than just one pre-generated face we might be able to make it portray ourselves more.

We are kinda limited as to what we can do with the avatars, they all look alike, how can we make them look more like us? Besides, its fun to role play, who says we have to look like our avatar?

the avatar system doesnt have every option to look like specific actual people. if you had one maybe youd know.
