I would stick to the Interstate or the New York State Thruway,and stay on the major highways.

No parts of I-81, I-80, I-78 are still closed as of 7am today 2/17/07. If you do not need to travel I would suggest not doing so until they open the Interstates. A car ride from my house right now that should only take 15 mins is taking 1 hr and 15mins!!! NEPA is a disaster zone. I work for a trucking company and one of my drivers told me it took him 9 hours to get from Bloomsburg,PA-Hazleton, PA, this usually takes 30 mins!!!!

You won't need to use 1-78, but you will probably run into problems at the 80/380 junction. As of late afternon, it was still stopped or barely moving. Go to www.visitpa.com or search for PennDot for all the current road conditions.

I-78 was closed Wednesday due to snow & accident. Check the 2 sites listed below for current conditions.

If you stay on the Interstates you will be fine.
