The Pens look great. The last few drafts are paying huge dividends right now. That's why the Pirates are the third most popular team in the city. KEEP THE PENS IN PITTSBURGH!

It's such a pleasure to watch them.
What I fear though is that in a few years time, that team will have to be broken up because of the salary cap. It is only when Sid the Kid's contract expires will we find out if he wants to take a pay cut and be a part of the Penguins becoming a dynasty just like the Oilers, Islanders, Canadians, and the Leafs or will he go after money and leave the Penguins.
There's no way the Penguins will be able to afford Crosby/Malkin/Stall and the rest of them. Even if they can, because of the salary cap, they wont have much money left because of the cap to pay the other players.
Dude, I hate the salary cap.

The look great...Throughout the streak they have been getting tons of production out of the 3rd and 4th line and have been getting it done even with Crosbys no goal slump. If the 3rd an 4th lines continue to produce this team COULD be a force in the playoffs...The one thing that is really scaring me right now is how close the east is, even with the points in 14 straight games and being in 4th place only 5 points in the standing separate them being in or on their couches watching the playoffs. Loose a couple games and their right back where they were at the break.

I've been a Pens fan 4ever. This team is as exciting as the SC teams of the 90's. U gotta love da Pens!!! Crosby. Malkin. Fleury. Whitney. Recchi. Staal. Nasreddine. Ruuto. Gonchar.
This is an exciting young team. The play-offs are gonna be great!!! GO PENS!!!!!

Good to see they're developing quicker than expected. I'm certainly impressed...and happy because the Rangers are falling by the wayside, lol, but don't expect them to get past the Devils in a 7-game series just yet!
My friend and I were pondering this thought..
if the Penguins go to the Stanley Cup Finals, where will they play? Doesn't the lease expire June 1st?

if the Pens would've had this kind of streak at the beginning of the year, I think they'd have a better record then Nashville. Although they're still so young, they're top players have never been in an NHL playoff game before, I'd be surprised if Crosby/Malkin take the team passed the first round.

the pens will look good in a few years from now, i think they look terrible right now.. and i also think its unfair for ovechkin to be compared to crosby.. i mean its crosby,malkin,stall on the pens..and theres ovechkin on washington
