I've tended to be negative in the past, and still probably will again. The best way to not be negative is to not try to be positive. Just live your life without worrying about stuff. Don't try to be positive, just coast through life.

I was just like you! I'm 18 now and most people consider me the happiest person thye have ever met. The trick is to not worry about so many things. It's easy to try to want to do everything right, but you gotta realize that you don't always suceed, and that's OK. When you fail, you learn. When you start to notice that, you become more happy.
Also, just relax! Don't abandon your studies, but take pride in everything you do right and reward yourself; whether it be just sitting back on the couch and watching some TV or going out with your friends all night, it can only help.

Hope this helps!

Sounds like some self-pity here.
Don't mean to sound hurtful, but pessimism stems from that.
You have to do a self check and also see what is good about your life. YOU can change your outlook, as YOU have the control of that much.
Give yourself a break also. NO one gets it right all the time.

I'm 17...and can definitely relate to you.
Maybe it's just a phase, and it'll pass.

I think you should definitely take a breather from studying and watch a funny movie, listen to your favorite music, take a nap, take a walk, hang out with your friends, exercise, etc. You probably just really need a break.

When you're TOO serious, that only makes matters worse. Realize that in the end - whatever you're worried about - everything will be ok (really - it will). Good luck :)

First off, are you POSITIVE that you're negative? If so, that's a starting point....At least you're positive about something. Seriously, I feel that any intelligent person has no choice but to be negative because everything sucks. The USA has perverted everything that the founding father's stood for, so much cheating, lying and ignoring the truth just to be PC.....Everything makes me sick....Americans with no health care, yet we spend BILLIONS in Iraq, that's like watching your kids starve while you buy candy for the neighbor's kids.

You won't be able to be positive as long as you keep telling yourself that you are a pessimist. 16 is hard, don't minimize the fact that your body is a hormone soup. Tell yourself that everything will be fine and it will. A positive attitude changes everything, makes the mistakes and missteps that are inevitable in life bearable. People say that the teen years are the best. I say they aren't. Keep your chin up and look forward to college. It rocks

How about trying to let go of worrying about one thing first. Then see how things go. You'll probably think later on that it was silly to worry yourself over things like that, which will still turn out ok without your worrying. Then, try to think less of other things. Just know that things will work out itself, with or without your worrying. And if things go wrong, many times, its just the small little things. Start small... learn to let go.

you should take a break and refresh/relax for a bit. it seems like you're in some stress. i understand why you are feeling negative. It's because you're in high school and you want yourself to graduate and go to college.
