Generally, it is a negative self-image, which in turn makes you view most interactions with others in a negative light, because that's your central feeling in life.
There are ways to improve your self-image. Below is a link to another person who had a question about self-confidence.
That last twerp who posted obviously doesn't understand psychology. Disregard his railings.
One thing to understand and accept is that you are where you are right now. Write down what your current situation, then look at some ways to improve it. It will never happen overnight, but if you're really committed to being a better person it will happen for you. You'll be a stronger person for it as well.
Good luck...

You need positive reinforcement. Although my mom gave me tons of encouragement as a kid, my father was the complete opposite. I still get mad and frustrated when things don't go right, but I keep at it until I get it done, even if I have to have help. It may sound stupid, but find a bright side to these things. For example, last Wednesday I had an appointment with my dentist to remove a cracked filling and put a new one in its place. The bright side? It was an existing filling, not a new cavity. I do the same thing with all of my problems or issues. Chin up!
