Possible not the only one.

Ebay are making money out of the people that use it, listing fees etc. however some listings will sell more than others depending on price and demand.

I have mixed experience on selling sometimes good sometimes not so good. Have only had two difficult dealings with sellers but in the end have always got my way, most of the time am happy with what I buy.

They raised their fees after raising them just a littl bit ago. It doesn't pay to sell anything. It cost 40 cents to sell something that cost from zero to $9.99. That's not counting the percentage they take out of what you sell it for. That's not counting the bells and whistles either. It's not worth it to sell anything unless you have something that costs alot of money and is worthless to yourself. A good idea might be to list the item really low and jsut insert it into the shipping cost. The only drawback would be if someone took that the wrong way and have you bad feedback.

it must work for some people as ebay are making a fortune. It's not a waste of time - you just ahve to be careful /selective etc.

Try selling on amazon - no fees unless you sell

I haven't used Ebay much, but when I have, I have been very pleased with my items, I recently bought a 15' HDMI cable and 2 15' VGA cables for about $30 after shipping, and it arrived at my house in less than a week (It would have cost about 130 for those cables retail).

I think people get too greedy and charge to much P & P

You can get stuff sometimes cheaper either online or on the high street with a guarantee

Also I get fed up with the tracking cookies
Ebay download they are one of the worst offenders

I actually disagree, I have bought & sold on Ebay and it is quite useful. Yes it is not perfect, and yes there is a lot of crap, and also some high prices and yes there is fees...

But at the same time, what in life is free? not much!!!

Don't like it, Don't use it!

I've never used Ebay. It's a waste of time, I mean, you are risking your money to buy something that mightn't work when you could just go to a store, pay the same amount, and be GUARANTEED that it will work, or your money back (in most cases).

I used to love eBay, but it is full of rip off artists and people selling things that don't work. It is way too risky to buy things on there are people are such liars.

Ebay will have different appeals to different people, all with varying tales to tell.

Personally I buy things that are pretty scarce, quite dear and so have had NO problems.

As you say the costs are quite more dear than they need to be.

Good luck for the future.
