What could go wrong, dear? It seems that your mother has a well-planned event that includes family and friends.

Are you embarrassed by a doggy party?? You shouldn't be. There are actually doggy restaurants that make a fortune doing them.

Gee, I hope that you are not jealous....Is your mother giving the dog more attention or gifts than she gives to you? Talk with her about your feelings. She'll understand.

Has someone said something to you about your mother's idea that makes you feel worried about her or embarrassed for her? Don't worry about what other people think. People will make bad fun of anything. Don't let them spoil the good fun things in your life or your mother's life.

Do you think that this party might be dangerous for some reason? If you are afraid of any of the dogs that will come to the party, you should tell your mother. Lot's of people are afraid of certain kinds of dogs.

Whatever it is that you think might go wrong, you should talk to your mother about it. Let her read some of your Yahoo answers, too! They might help you two figure out what is really bothering you. Then you two can solve it.

Good Luck and Bless You!!!

I think that it's really great what your Mom is doing. After all it's really true that a dog is mans best friend. We consider our dog a part of our family and whats better, she has accepted us. Remember your dog has a love for you that is irreversable and unconditional. For a friend like that, Is a cake really to much to give?

We do celebrate our dog’s b-day too but we keep it private. We give her nice little cupcake – not to much icing though. Hahaha anyway, if your Mom invites people for this, she is crazy indeed. Tell her it is not normal to be compulsive and it shows. People will “think”. Go ahead, tell her – sometimes it takes a slap to open eyes.

okay all this trouble over a little dog?
don't get me wrong, I like dogs as much as the next person, but your mom is crazy.
He/She is just a dog, and they are important, but that's way too much trouble to go through with a pet.
A dog just isn't a person.
tell your mom that it is just a dog and to chill for like a hour and relax!

If she wants to give a little doggie birthday party, then you should let her. Take lots of comical pictures and have fun. It may be the first stage for senility, however.

Be sure you have her go to the grocers freezer and get some doggie ice cream. They love that stuff.
