Is smallville a realy city in the United States?? If so WHAT State?!? I thought it was really a city in KS but no such luck really finding anything!

Yep, we have a Metropolis here in IL. And yes they have a statue of Superman. And a billboard that says, Home of Superman. But it's nowhere near as big as the Hollywood version

Smallville is fictional, just like Metropolis and the famed Batman's Gotham City. What I've always heard is that Gotham is NYC and Metropolis is Chicago. Smallville is supposed to be in Kansas, and there are a lot of small towns in Kansas that could probably be a model for it, but it is strictly imaginary. Just like Superman.

Smallville is not a real city. It is made up for the character,also made up. as is Metropolis made up. All are made up including the characters and any resemblence to people or places living or dead is purely coincidental. They merely represent typical places for your entertainment only. And I am totally entertained by this great show. Reality T.V. I can live on a daily basis. I prefer fantasy for the entertainment value.

Its fake like south park.
Its smallville because the creators want to suggest a "small" one road village thats why the only city calld Metropolis.
Both Metro and Polis means big city.
