They feel guilty, they regret it, they will never do it again. Should they tell their partner?

Please note I ask these questions to see peoples thoughts, they are not personal experiences!

I would want to know. I think if someone has a weak moment then they need to ask why they were tempted, why were they in a place/situation to get tempted, and how are they sure temptation would never happen again?

I was cheated on once and I found out from other people. I didn't get mad at the other people, but just didn't understand why it took someone innocently correcting my facts of where my boyfriend was for me to put two and two together. Yes I was pissed and hurt, but I am thankful to know and thankful I left that relationship.

I think in the end, to tell or not to tell depends on who you are with. Some people want to live life with blinders on and the motto what they don't know won't hurt them. I personally want to live my life knowing all the aspects of what surrounds me. Yeah somethings hurt, but I would rather grow from the painful experience then feel left in the dark.

Yes...then it is up to your partner to forgive you. You made the mistake and you must face the consequences. Lying to your partner will only make it worse...and if they can't forgive you then losing that person is the consequence of your weak moment. If you can be forgiven then I wish you all the best.

no If my guy cheated only once, I'd rather not know. If it's an ongoing affair, you should tell her though.

There is no justification and they WILL do it again. Once a cheat, always a cheat.
