Last nite my husband attempted to reboot his computer. When it shut down, the power turned off the CPU and it would not reboot again. Tried unplugging, and replugging to no avail. Didn't smell anything burning inside the case. Any ideas?

If when the power button is turned on and the computer is plugged in, you don't hear any fans on inside the case, then I would suggest the power supply has failed. That is if it is a desktop computer.

Look at the power button. Make sure the cable is plunge in all the way. Replace the power supply if none of the things above work.

If your PC is a laptop you may have a battery problem. Otherwise, if you look at the back of your PC you will find a on/off switch which you need to click to turn it on.
