§5-1-106. Felonies.
(b) A felony is classified as follows:
(1) Class Y felony;
(2) Class A felony;
(3) Class B felony;
(4) Class C felony; or
(5) Class D felony.

Class Y felonies are the worst type of felony.

§5-4-401. Sentence.
(a) A defendant convicted of a felony shall receive a determinate sentence according to the following limitations:
(1) For a Class Y felony, the sentence shall be not less than ten (10) years and not more than forty (40) years, or life;

Examples of a Class Y felony are a terrorist act, muder in the first degree, certain drug charges, kidnapping, rape, arson, etc.

Felonies are catigorized by seriousness in arkansas:

i.e.

Class A = Murder Rape
Class B = Involontary manslaughter,Residentail burglaries
Class Y = Possesion of Drugs
