Yes it's most definately the epidural. The anaethatist should have discussed possible risks and side effects with you before he administered the epidural.

I'm unsure of the exact percentage but there is a risk of long term or permanent tissue damage.

It could be from the epidural. Every one of my friends who had an epidural had problems later. Some with back pain and one who lost the ability to use the bathroom for several months, fortunately she was okay. I had 3 kids without an epidural and yes I still had back pain. For nine months you have no stomache muscles. After you have a baby your back muscles are trying to make up for where your belly lacks. Either way, it will eventually go away

I've heard a lot of women with the same complaint, some say they have the pain in the area where the epidural was forever.
I had an epidural with my first baby and didn't have these pains.

I'd go to a chiropractor. He specializes in back problems. Good luck!

I know 2 girls that got epidurals when they had their kids and their backs still hurt. One has an eight year old and the other has a two year old.

it could be, it hurts some women, and some it dont. It didnt hurt me (I had to have a c-section) I have back problems anyway so I thought it would make it worse but it didnt, but for some women it does.

you probably strained your muscles during delivery, use proper posture and take some over the counter Motrin or aleve, for inflamed muscles
