why do you boys of brown colour most of the time go for lighter skinned girls

Action speak louder than words....Fact 1) Most rich brown/black/Asian guys marry white/whiter girls: Tiger, Kofi Anan, OJ, Liz Hurley's lover. Fact2) Look around- regardless of race, most men go for lighter color than themselves 3) Men are very physical-based
Many men see lighter as fairer and better I suppose....
I heard a male chauvinist say on TV: women marry downwards, men marry upwards....

everyone has some sort of preference in life and especially when it comes to love. for example some guys love shy girls and dislike loud girls or vice versa. now, its not like saying shy = good and loud = bad. it is just personal preference. some love long hair and think short hair is only meant for boys. again that is personal preference everyone is entitled to have their own unique opinion. look, dont worry colour is only skin deep (like you have probably heard before)
some people arent allowed/dislike inter-racial relationships.you cant change their views, so long as they are friendly to you, you should be happy. lots of guys (here) like blonde, big boobs, tanned girls but do you want a guy that only cares about physical appeareance? i think not.
i have dark-tan/light brown skin. i am indian, asian. some people think i am so lucky to have natural tanned skin and all year round so maybe many think that of you too? =). even if you are jet-black (not possible), so what? be happy that you are not abnormal! i am not going to lie to you and say that they like very dark as much as light tan because i dont think they do, and nobody can change peoples views.
in a way be thankful, that whoever falls for someone ugly and fat (not saying you are, you are probably beautiful) that they havent judged you on looks, but the person inside.
so hold your head up and smile! did you know confidence plays a big part! =) sorry it is an essay LOL but i had to tell you this. hope i helped..x

Hi dont upset your self by asking questions like these, its not about skin colour and weather your darked skinned or not, It like me i am very pale skinned and most boys like fake tan and blonde hair. So i have the same problem. Just be you. Boys dont know what they like half the time. Its all about hair colour stlye and body nothing to do with skin colour. If you skinny Blonde have a fake tan and look like a clone then you fit they will like you but if you dont stuff them all they are the ones missing out without you and who cares what a guys opnion is.

Why does it matter? Its like what eye colour people like best. You can't change it. Find someone who loves you for you not your skin or hair or eye colour. Otherwise you won't be happy.
Where I live so many people are different shades of dark and medium and white is even different shades of white. Who cares?

I like them all. A girl can be beautiful with any skin clour or tone. I may be an old type of guy but I like to have a laugh with them and see them smile.

because they are stupid when they are young. the older you get though, you will see those same guys trying to holla at you. Dont give them the time of day! When a guy likes you he likes you no matter what. I guess the older they get they realize beauty is beauty whatever skin tone and sex is sex!

i think boys just want a healthy-looking girl, and skin color isn't really a factor.
although fake tans and tons of makeup are probably turnoffs for most people

I have very fair skin and can get quite insecure about it till I met someone who didn't care and liked me 4 me!

I'm old enough too know that beauty IS only skin deep. I don't usually notice her skin color until her wit has caught my minds eye,, ;-)=

Please do not generalize. you may have some points that are right; and I guess part of which is because of how media portrays white women. But not every male "minority" would prefer a white female over a minority female! I don't know from where you are but here in south california (the most diverse state imo), you would definitely see a lot of couples in variety. It ain't always an asian/black/hispanic male with a white girl. All in all, it comes down with the person's personality. You said it yourself, you have a minority boyfriend.. but he chooses to date you.
