I would say perhaps Rose on the new episodes of Doctor Who. She was a really strong character and Billie Piper really deserved all the awards she won for playing that role.
Also I would say Richie Blackmore was great back when he was in Deep Purple, no wonder he went on to front his own band later - he is a really gifted guitar player.
Oh yes, Penfold on Dangermouse is great too, because he is naff but we love him anyway.
