I work for a lab. We have a courrier who brings the blood specimens back to the hospital. he also brings my check here to me, from the main hosoital. I get paid on thursday....it is now friday at 12:30, no check. Can I skin him alive if he shows up for the specimens without my check again today?

I would not give the specimens without my check first.

I say go ahead and skin him alive. If he's an organ donor, maybe you can sell the skin for profit and thereby make up for your frustration and your losses.

Yes, if your check isn't still at the main hospital.

He is only a courier. He doesn't pay you. While it might be satisfying, it won't have the end result. Call your HR department. Let them handle it. It is their job.
