It depends on how you perceive their music and style. Hilary is more pop and Ashlee is more rock. Overall, I would have to say Hilary because she trying to keep it real... eventhough she's trying to drink and party just a little bit more. hahaha

Honestly even though I kinda grew out of the whole pop craze.
I think that both are beautiful talented, Actresses/singers.
We have seen hillary go from 7th grader lizzy mcguire to sexy pop princess. She isnt really in the tabloids that much I have noticed.
Then you have ashlee. Shes great she really is. Weve seen her transform from Cecil to sexy punk popper. But the thing is though is that She said she wanted to be her own person. Not wanting to compete" with her sister. But she like had this break down or something. Im not trying to be rude but she transformed her self to LOOK almost like jessicas twin. I mean I thought she was pretty the way she was. Is she going to start singing like jessica now? I think she needs to step back and realize how beautiful she is/was and realize that her career isnt her sisters. ITS ALL HERS. And the only one who can take it away at this point is her. I hope that she comes to terms that her sister may look like barbie and act like her. But that doesnt mean she has too.

Honestly I think both lack in talent. On both there song you can hardly hear their natural voices. They're layered with effects & sometimes the backup vocals over power the lead.
I think they both should just stick with acting, they're both beautiful girls, but slightly over-rated.

i think ashlee simpson is a better singer, because her songs are more to my taste, and i think ashlee is way hotter than duff!
