I went to a place on Baldwin, south of Huntington, in Arcadia once and it was pretty reasonably priced. Kind of old school.

I feel compelled to share this as well. You can go to Lucky Strike Lanes at the Hollywood/Highland complex, and the great thing is that there are tons of other random little things to do around there (even if it just involves people watching). Lucky Strike is very nice (in terms of bowling alleys) and has a pretty decent little bar/restaurant. It is not, by any means, cheap, though. They may have different rates depending on what day/time of day you bowl, too.

Good luck!

If you want to be chintzy, take her to All Star Lanes on Eagle Rock Blvd.

Eagle Rock might be hip, but the bowling alley is pretty ghetto. Lanes are always available, the beers are cheap and the lights are really, really bright.
