After long consultations with our lawyers we came to the conclusion that rent-a-baby idea was not feasible. However we are planning to open a business now where we will rent puppies to desperate single guys so they can meet girls that are walking their dogs in parks. Do you think that could be legal?

I think you're giving up too soon on "rent-a-baby." Seems like you could collect cash on both ends, if you set it up so that you've got a baby-sitter service for parents, and then rent-a-baby on the other end.

Or, you could use your own baby, but frankly babies are only really attractive for a limited time period, so you'd have to commit to producing new ones pretty regularly...

Who cares if it's legal.....what about the puppies who grow into big dogs who are essentially "homeless", will probably be living in cages, and have no quality of life in your little business? What will you do when the "puppies" grow up? And what kind of creepy loser would actually rent a dog to meet a woman? Baaad plan.

Legal perhaps, ethical no. Think of the abuse the puppies suffer. And the poor, desperate fathers who will have to admit that they are liars in that they don't own a puppy at all.

It already happens. They take advantage of the humane society "foster parent" program. They'll take on a dog for a weekend or a month, and use it to try to pick up chicks. The humane society allows it to happen, because they're trying to get the dogs used to different people, and they get a break in maintenance costs.

Any girl who falls for this deserves what she gets.

i don't know if it would be legal, but guys must be pretty pathetic if they need to rent a puppy to get a girl, they could become dog walkers or i don't know, be real with a girl and not pretend to have a dog.

I would say there are other ways to attract the opposite sex. Also if she/he found out what that person did I would say the relationship would be doomed......why on earth would you create a front in order to get the girl or guy you want?.....especially knowing that the other person you are trying to get loves animals and what cruel thing to do.....

Are you insane? canines are actually not issues you are able to lease out. What are you going to do while the doggies enhance up? And besides what individual would prefer to lease a pup, that is stupid and ignorant and that i wish unlawful.

If you are serious....What a horrible business idea! If it is legal, it should made illegal ASAP.
