Which would be better option to get wireless internet: Getting an N1 laptop card to get a connection at home off our neighbor or to pay for a wireless internet card from Cingular or Verizon and take it anywhere?

DSL isn't available out where I live (at least not from AT&T/Cingular)

Verizon wireless internet. i have it and its the best
you can also get verizon dsl and you can connect a router to it and get online on your laptop or any wireless device such as psp.
good luck
i dont recommend getting it off your neighbor because you dont always have a secure connection, in no time he can just but a WEP password and you cant get on any more, just pay for the internet or maybe you can talk to him and arrange paying him a lower price than you would pay directly to the company.

Get the N1 card. This will allow you got to a Internet spot (Hot Spot) and get free Internet there too.

Getting it off your neightbor's network - not a good choice. If he allows it, great. If not, it's illegal - stealing.
If you are choosing between Cingular or Verizon, I'd go with Verizon - you will actually get a pretty decent speed, too...

free is always better than having to pay....get the N1 card and rip off service from your neighbor

options for internet there not any real good ones to use all rubbish ,i use a usb top up from 3g
