Feel better. I think it's a replacement for mommy and daddy. Real life can be scary. Someone to watch over you, protect you, take your best interest to heart. Kind of like Moms?

I don't believe it's our mind at all, it's what we within our hearts believe in. It determines on how one is raised throughout their childhood in which the majority has some type of religion background whether it's Catholic, Methodist, Protestant, Jewish etc..unless you were born in an athiest type of family that does not believe in God.
Most of us during our childhood was raised on a certain type of belief/religion, we were taught that either God exists or He doesn't. That Jesus was His son and the Virgin Mary was Jesus Mother.Yes our mind has accepted this from childhood from the teachings that we had received through the Bible and the ministry but it's what and how you feel within your heart thats the answer. If you have accepted in your heart that God is there for you and you are one of His children then you are a believer.Faith and Hope are the key factors here. If you have accepted Christ into your heart and you have Faith then you are a believer.

Where there is Faith
there is Love
Where there is Love
There is Peace
Where there is Peace
There is God
Where there is God
There is No Need
Here's your answer....Hope you liked the poem.

I love God with all my heart but there's a side of me that I can't really stop. My mental reasoning.

Do you know how we tell the little kids "you have to behave because you're not gonna get any gifts from santa!" and then the kids try their best and then the "santa" ends up being a lie.

Think about it. You have a little son or daughter and they come to you and ask you "Daddy what's going to happen to us when we die?" what are you going to say? are you gonna say this?..."oh your gonna be buried in a wood box and rot until the maggots finish eating your flesh"..Of course not! right? you would want to comfort her and tell her something beautiful like ..."after we die we go to a beautiful place where no one can hurt you anymore and we can be together forever!" right? now think back in time....how many fathers were faced with the dilema of giving hope to their family or children...

Would somebody go that far to make up a big story to make everybody feel safe and hopeful???

If there was not story about God, would make up one just because your children are scared of death???

Think about it.

of course there is a god, you just need to look around yourself and and open your eyes, look at yourself in the mirror only god could make a so perfect human being, are you doubting cause you don't see him, you don't need to see him, look at all the things he gives us everyday, the sun that keeps you warm, flowers, birds, rain, God is like the air, it's always there but you can't see it, but you could feel it, do good and good would come back to you, spread love and you will feel the love all around you....
