Brady Bunch Or Gilligan's Island ? Which show in your Opinion was too cheesy & too unrealistic?

Yes i know they are just tv shows but some of these shows was way too unrealistic for my taste. I would pick the Brady Bunch b/c while the show had it's moments it was soo unrealistic that these kids where so behaved & never got into any trouble. They made this family way too perfect which is nothing wrong with it but that's not the real world. And before anyone accuses me no i'm not a fan of these shows of today where they always seem to make families so dysfunctional & the kids always disrespecting the parents. Just my thoughts. LoL! Great point Julie. According to the storyline if i remember they where in the island for 15 years & they never ran out of anything.

You have a great point too BRen79. that's one thing i'll always commend the Brady Bunch on & that was teaching values which many shows don't even try to do today.

I love the Brady Bunch. We all know it's cheesy and unrealistic, but it's entertaining and attempted to teach values. Not everything we watch has to mirror the real world...I know all the bad stuff happening in the world, I'm experiencing it...so why do I want to watch it as "entertainment" in my living room?

Gilligan's Island was def the more unrealistic. People visited the island all the time, but there the castaways stayed. They was never a food shortage, never a lack of wardrobe change as if they really were stranded and here is the killer: How come the Professor was able to make a radio out of a coconut but NOBODY could patch the hole on the Minnow *or even built a new boat..but an electrified radio coconut was child's play????* lol

Brady Bunch definitely...No extended family is that perfect...
The biggest unrealistic thing about Gilligan's Island that always baffled me, was where did they get all those clothes for a 3 hour tour?

I agree that Gilligan Island was unrealistic but you are incorrect in saying that they wore the same clothes. The only characters that really never changed were Gilligan, the Skipper, and the Professor. Everyone else changed. And could someone please tell me how the Howell's had so much money with them if it was only a 3 hour tour. Don't get me started with this one we could go all day.

Brady Bunch. Gilly's Isl was at least so off the wall, impossible to have happened that it was funny. They all wore the same clothes day after day and no one seemed offeded by any B.O.

And Gilligan's Island was believable? Their clothes never got dirty, they never ran out of food, and Ginger had enough make-up to last all those years. Their hair never grew and they never grew beards.
