There is no excuse, but there is an underlying cause. Society has inundated us with depictions of violence to such a degree that our youth have been de-sensitized to it. I believe this was one of the techniques used by the special forces during the Vietnam war to turn men into killers; I could be wrong, but I do know that the effects of over-exposure to violence tend to produce psychotic tendencies. When you see something terrifying or gruesome often enough, it no longer has the same effect. The trauma of watching another human being die or suffer is replaced with indifference or curiosity. The value of life no longer holds meaning and the thought of inflicting harm on others doesn't seem that terrible anymore.

I really think it has to do with the views surrounding discipline and raising of your children. back in the days if you stepped out of line, you not only had to worry about your parents, but the neighbors too, because if they caught you doing something wrong they treated you like their own. So it was double bad for you.
Now they teach kids it isn't OK to get spankings- they should call the law, they are being spoiled and not made to work for anything, and are being raised In a society that doesn't place a bigger emphasis on the children and their education.
I blame the parents, the media and society at whole.
I for one- will not tolerate a bad kid. Jail or not- you call the law on me because I disciplined you- well you better believe by the time the police do come then they will REALLY have a reason to take me away.

That's easy..............because today's kids are stupider and more disrespectful than ever before!!!
And everywhere you look, that f*cking ridiculous "Gangsta' image" is being glorified!!! I will be laughing my @ss of when these clowns try to get some sort of real job (with the big pants on and the "side" hats!!!) Actually that's a good thing because there will be much less job competition out there for the productive youth of our society!!!
