I've always heard that nothing is wasted on beef. It's not something I'm longing to try or will ever eat, but people seem to eat just about anything and I'm wondering why I've never hear of it.

The udder on cow is similar to a breast of a human -- it would probably be all mammary tissue and fat. The "meat" parts of animals that we eat is usually muscle.

Firstly they're Udders. Like someone said we usually butcher steers not heifers or cows. And we probably do eat it in hot dogs, bologna and other mystery meats as someone put it. Not so much in burger though.

If you eat hot dogs and other mystery meats..then you do eat the most disgusting parts.

It is not the softest meat, but if you chop it up it and mix it with other spare parts you have the start of hot dogs and other sausages.

i would think they are more of a muscle then a piece of meat, but if they are meaty then they end up in hot dogs and over to taco bell, which is grade 4 meat by products

Some people do, maybe it's more common in Europe. I know my dad's tried it before.

the reason is, is that they usally do not butcher utter cows, or female cows. They butcher male cows for the meat. They usally dont butcher milk cows.
