My 94 Eddie Bauer Bronco was rear ended and the bumper had to be replaced. We took it to the shop 1/5/07 and got it back 2/9/07
The shop said it took so long because they couldn't find the right
bumper brackets. During this time the owner's son wanted to buy our truck. We didn't want to sell. When we got the truck back my husband thought the engine looked different. There was nothing wrong with the engine before we took the truck in. Now the oil pressure drops to zero and it makes a noise. Did they mess with our engine? Could they have exchanged it? How can we find out?

sounds like someones kid hade a bronco for a month.you can match the numbers off the engine, transmission and intake to the corresponding info from your vin number two ways to go about that one is to buy a chilton for your make and moddle of your ride or you can have a ford dealership do it for you.any way you go the engine parts and pieces should match the numbers that your vin numbers info gives you.its a messy job.good luck and i would switch mechanics.

id say get the lawyer on the phone, sounds to me like the son took the truck joyriding and damaged the engine. the bumper brackets used on the explorer are very very easy to get. they are used on all explorer models,as well as the ford ranger.every auto parts store carries them,or can next day deliver them in most cases.also they can be gotten from a local salvage yard. look on the engine for any identifying marks. such as engine displacement 3.0/4.0/5.0 etc. compare that against the 10th digit i think it is on the vin.if the 2 dont match up your engine was stolen.this information should also be on the radiator support bracket, along with the serpentine belt routing.

Compare the VIN numbers on the engine with the VIN numbers on the vehicle, if they exchanged the engine they will be different. If they are the same you have you original engine.

That shows how little they now advise to you. finding for revenge supplies THEM the flexibility to proceed to electrify your existence, for the greater serious. Do you quite need them to have the administration?
