You have the zlob trojan

1) Removal instructions-- How to remove the Smitfraud / Generic Zlob / Quicknavigate / Virtual Maid
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic17258.html

Trojan.Zlob is a back door Trojan that allows the remote attacker to perform various malicious actions on the compromised computer.

Zlob downloads and installs Spyware and Adware applications. Most of them are considered to be rogue anti-spyware:
http://www.f-secure.com/sw-desc/rogue_antispyware.shtml

Then
(1) Get you self a good antivirus or a free one if your present anti virus is not protecting you .
(2) If you have not already scanned your comp with spybot do that now .Update it and then run it so it gets rid of all the spyware and trojans in safe mode
(3) Do an online virus scan to check if you still have any other viruses in your computer. And let us know if the online virus scan still finds any virus or spyware .

Is this system alert in your toolbar near the clock?? If it is (usually green) then it is most likely anti_vermins virus that you have, you need to download HijackThis here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/HijackThis_d3155.html then go to http://forums.techguy.org/54-security/ join up for free. Do a scan with HijackThis DO NOTHING AT THIS STAGE save a report to your desktop with notepad or whatever then go to the Techguy forums and post your log, they will run you through the removal within a few hours.
DO NOT REMOVE ANYTHING WITH HijackThis UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING

If the security software it's trying to sell you is WinAntiVirus, then you've got a nasty Vundo infection. Go here to download a scanner/removal tool.

The other guys have told you how to get rid of it. To stop it happening again download (free) SpywareBlaster, it is a good shield against Add-Spy-Mailware, Trojans and Hijacks

Assuming you are using MS Internet Explorer as your browser, go to tools, internet options and change the home page there.

Download HIJACKTHIS:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Run that and make sure you check all the entries that are not needed/wanted. Like "toolbar etc" delete any tool bars or browser redirects.
