The beginnings of both civilizations were off by an amount of years, but China did use the Silk Road for trade that went into parts of ancient Sumeria that was then part of the Persian Empire or the empire of Alexander the Great. So the ancients Sumerians and the Chinese didn't have contact, but the peoples of both areas did eventually have connection.

there is no evidence to date that the sumerians were in contact wth china. the sumerians and the later akkadians did have contact with pakistan and west india ( harappan culture) as evident in stamp seals found in both locations.

The Chinese had contact with the Indians for quite some time, and they most likely knew about the Sumerians, so I'd say, indirectly, yes.
