Do you know of a good web site for books, something very much like imdb.com is for movies? You know, where you can find info on any book, reviews, ratings, forums?

amazon.com has all of the information you're looking for. If you want to check out a site that is more personal you can try librarything.com. At librarything you can catalog your own library, read reviews on books and chat with other people who like the same kinds of books. They also have a book suggestor feature where you give it a title and it will suggest other books like that one and an unsuggestor if you know a book you hated and would like to read the opposite.

There are a lot more books than there are movies, so this would be difficult. Amazon is good, but you might want to check with your public library to see if they offer access to a database called NoveList. It does some of the things you mention.

I tend to use Amazon.com or Barnes & Noble.com. They are both limited, but they have some good features. I like some of the reviews on Amazon.
