No. Schools are for an education, not a social service. Perhaps they should concentrate on teaching children why they shouldn't have sex at too early an age.

Some points to consider: What age group? Obviously condoms are not appropriate for elementary age children, but certainly are for college kids. Is the school private or public? i.e. where does the money come from and who would supply the condoms? Are there too many religious groups against distribution? Is teenage pregnancy and STDs an issue in the school? What type of education would go with the condoms? general sex ed? How to put on a condom? How to decide if condoms offer enough protection?

Yes they should for grades 7 & up.

for those that say they should becuase it does nothing to facilitate learning...its called sex ed. Lots of teens are nervous or shy about going into a store to purchase condoms. Having them readiliy accessable in washrooms aleiviates that nervousness. I'd rather have kids that age having sex & using protection than having sex & not using protection.

not all parents have thier children practicse abtsinance. Teens are going to do what they want w/o their parent's consent and they still can practise sex even if a teacher tries to teach them why they should wait. so it is better to be safe than sorry.

I don't think the schools need the hassle or expense. It's not wrong, it is just not appropriate because it has nothing to do with learning. They don't dispense them on college campuses either. It is real easy to just walk into a drugstore and buy them - even grocery stores and Wal mart sells them. People who think they are old enough to have sex shou;d have sense enough to be able to go get protection.

No, because some parents will want their children practicing abstinence. Condoms seem to say sex in teens is okay. Teenagers can't keep their pimples under control much less handle sex at their age.
