Am going to use it at home for personal use. Want to start scanning alot of old pictures & print them & also print out other things in color & black & white.
I'm only looking for a Cannon or HP only.
Any suggestions on what model to buy/compare?

If you're looking for quality with a good price, try the Phillips HTS6500, it only uses two speakers and one subwoofer. It has a similar technology as BOSE, but with like 1/8 of the price. The surround sound is increadible! Good output and very good video quality if you use HDMI connectors. I bought mine at Sam's for under $300. You get surround sound without the annoying cables all around you. It is the best $300 I have ever spend!

I bought a color photo printer and scanner at Sam's Club about 3 months ago for $45! and it works really well!
