Just looking through questions. One of them mentions Iain Paisley. How comes most people don't know who he is

He's the leader of the Democratic Unionist party in Northern Ireland. He's also an MP & a member of the Northern Ireland assembly. Not a person I like by any means or agree with though.

I would have thought he would have been well known....he has been in the news often enough over the past 40 years at least.
I have listened to his views over the years and sometimes found them very annoying...and sometimes his silence on the actions of his party/followers was even more annoying, but I actually often say God love him when he looks a little tired. He really believes in his cause....That word Cause and what it refers to has cost a lot of lives.....Some things he says I would understand and agree with, but other things he does, or doesn't do, I don't understand.
I sort of like the man and often smile when I watch him on TV, however I don't think he would feel the same way about me, even though I have no time for voilence of any kind and pray that everyone would just get on with life in peace and love.
Why do I think Iain Paisley wouldn't 'sort of' like me ?.........
I am from South of the border and I think I know what he feels about us hahaha.
But you never know what will happen. He may find that it is only a tiny minority that causes all the trouble and spoils life for the rest of us. I must say some pills were VERY hard to swallow but we were told it was all for the best and had to be done. I don't think I could have released from prison people who had caused such sorrow, but then I am not supposed to be as all-knowing as the powers that be are supposed to be........He shouldn't tar everyone here with the same brush. Honestly.

I guess he has not done anything worthy of attention. I've never heard of him.
