I'm glad that you watched the panic of people who were about to be slaughtered by the North Vietnam because our politicians were gutless to fight them. Are you proud of that?

Still struggling with this concept and the English langauge?
The difference is the number of people of the U.S. who opposed the war increased, and made their voices heard. Many of them knew that in NO way did the fall of Vietnam ever constitute a "threat to the security of the U.S." America chose to pull out its own troops, but still supported the ARVN. The ARVN was defeated by the PAVN in 1975, and Vietnam was unified.
See the difference?

Oh my friend but we did lose the Viet Nam War. We left the South Viet Namease to be overrun by the North. We didn't have the guts to finish what we started and that's the reason so few countries trust us. Don't blame the soldiers, blame the weak government we had at the time and the cowards that wouldn't fight for their country.

as unfortunate as it is, we did lose the war in vietnam.
not because of military failure but because of political intervention which would not allow the military to conduct the war as it should have been.
that would have been the ideal time to crush north vietnam and put a puppet government in place in the "vietnams" which would have allowed us to be in close proximity to china.
of course if we had allowed macarthur in the 50's to have bombed china and annihilate them and patten in the 40's to have conquered russia while we were on a roll, we could now be world conquerors.
but, as in each case, we didn't have the willpower to see it through.
just as we're seeing in iraq.

One might argue that we did in fact lose the Vietnam war. Our stated goal was to defend South Vietnam from communist takeover. When we abandoned them, that objective was lost.

How is the Republican administration giving up NOT losing?

Go back to first grade: quitting IS losing.

Take a look at troop levels. Which party was the administration that poured troops into there? And which party was the administration that took troops out?

Sorry about this, but your idea is an exercise in wishful thinking. But the war could have been won for all that.
