why can't things just be simple?

they are, yet we accomplish complicity.
could it be that we complicate our lives because of desire?
all we really need to live is family, food and shelter. Yet as a result of marketing, we desire and pursue more.
Would it be simpler to strip off the material quests, and just pursue these basics?

You do realise this is one of those questions that have no answers right?
But in my opinion, the world is has to be complicated. Without complications, life is nothing but clear cut definitions and textbook answers. Because we keep thinking out of the usual, every thing is given more depth and more meaning and certain things gain more value than others because there is complication.
Complication breaks away from the monotone black and white, it introduces the grey areas. If life were simple, than we wouldn't appreciate things that ought to be appreciated for its grey areas. i.e. In every person, there's good and evil and we cannot simply classify a person as purely evil or purely good, because there's always a grey area.
Why is the world so complicated? Because people refuse to accept that there's always gonna be grey areas.

Because the rules of life are too simple for the world to be. You get to live for a while, then you die, and you have to play by the rules or your time is cut short. We feel a need to make up for it, therefore we make our world more complicated trying to break the rules or at least bend them. Besides, while we may be simple, fragile creatures (only a pound of pressure to break skin!) we have gigantic, complicated brains. Therefore, our world is complicated by fragile. It doesn't take much to bring it crashing down around us, as you may have noticed.

The world is simple it is people who are complicated and the sad part of it all is they don't have to be. If people learned to control themselves then the world would be a simpler place to live. Control is the key to simplicity.

The world is not complicated. It is just those within it that complicate things beyond what they should be.
I believe, that if man were to truly follow the Lord God, then those concerns, fears and constant troubles would go away from us.
Life is simple. The world will clutter your path to cause you to stumble.
Follow God and all will fall into place.

Because life would be boring if things were simple. maybe this world is simple?! if the world was simple would we be asking the same question? how would we know when the would is simple, we have nothing to compare it to!?

I've often pondered that same question and I have came up with the answer, I think. If life was simple, I would think who ever is in charge of life, is trying to insult me by thinking I can't do life the hard way. Yeah, life is difficult, but what would you rather have life so simple that anyone can do it?

If you think logically most things are very simple. Even if you have to break them down. The world seems so somplicated because humans are so complex and don't think before they act.

Hmmm. Maybe because the planet is filled with a countless number of organisms, each with its own path to pursue. Life is one big conflict of interest: the plant wants to grow, but the cow wants to eat that plant; the cow just wants to grow and reproduce, but the human eats that cow; the human just wants to grow and reproduce, but the [fill in the blank] eats that human . . . . . . quite frankly, it's a wonder anything gets anything done! What, with working conditions like these!

ya most of us think that wrld is coplicated,
but mind friend it is nice to talk on this matter.
u know as we think about seconds to cover minute and minutes to cover an hour.
similarly we cud meke our world really simple by just think our surroundings, people near to us and being nice to all of them.our world cud be complecated if we think about the thing, we never saw.. but we we consider our family, parents, friends, work palce as world we could deal more nicly , happily and easily,,
