*smiling* Folks, believe it or not, there is absolutely no company in the World, much less in America that exists to be loyal to the American worker or consumer. I mean, where in the world can anyone figure it to be otherwise.
And let me clue you in to another little reality folks. Not a single one of us works (or collects handouts from the government) for the purpose of supporting "the American Worker" or "The American Consumer". You can believe that every dime that gets made by either YOU or a "Biiiiiiiigggggggg Business" is made for the benefit of YOU or the business and its members (employees, stock holders etc).
I'll bet any of you out there that think that a business, making a business decision to move a plant to Mexico is bad even recognizes that your are spouting unionistic and socialistic propoganda.
If you REALLY want to do something that will keep companies doing their manufacturing in the US...don't BOYCOT, go out and buy all the companies products you can and get everyone you know to do the same.
Oh, and by the way, Hershey is a GLOBAL COMPANY that probably sells more of its candy OUTSIDE the US than within it so how is it logical to keep a plant within the US when it isn't financially viable? Just for "old time sake?"
Or maybe you think that Hershey should just totally collapse and you can buy your candy from.....oh yea, those other GLOBAL companies that are ALREADY located outside this country.
I don't like to do it but sometimes I just can't restrain myself....WHAT A BUNCH OF WHINING HOMERS!!!

They've lost my business. I am getting so tired of these businesses who were made what they are by American citizens....just pulling up shop for money. Alot of these places aren't loosing money....they just aren't making enough profit to please the stock market.
I don't understand how anyone can think that this global world would work when none of them are on equal footing for real fair competition. It just seems they're doing a global shift of poverty. If we could live on 60 cents an hour we would work for 60 cents an hour. Our prices keep going up and going up to "compensate" for global issues and they're sending our jobs out right to the countries we're already supporting in one way or another. Most of these "cheap labor" countries have minimul safety standards and I don't even want to think of health concerns for things we're eating. I mean they are basicly 3rd world places who don't even understand basic hygiene! I certainly don't want a chocolate bar from a vat that someone took a whiz in.......just so some rich CEO can pocket a few more million this quarter.
I'd just as soon all the greedy ones just packed up and left and let regular Americans take this country back and get back to the morals and standards that made us great in the first place. I'm sick of seeing peoples lives destroyed for corporate greed and this government helping them do it every step of the way.

I read that too. Immediately, I thought... that will give a lot of Mexicans jobs. Maybe that will turn the tide a bit at the border. When companies continually see a drop in earnings, you can bet they will find a way to stay afloat. So Hershey is moving to Monterrey Mexico.. Been there.... what an armpit.

It's all about the money baby. There is no national loyalty anymore. If you don't believe me read the 3rd answer. Hell Glenn Beck said that The Bank of America is now offering credit cards specifically geared toward illegal immigrants. They waived the Social Security number requirement. So let's not only let them come, let's pay for them to come. People don't care. They got theirs and they simply do not care.

If I had to boycott every company that outsourced one or all sections of it's business I would surely starve, be naked and unable to get transportation anywhere.
I would be unclean and would not be able to answer this question as I would not have a computer or an ISP since outsourcing sales and customer service departments it common practice.

Yes, it is. We should all write to Hershey and tell the company that if it can't be loyal to the United States of America and the citizens who have been purchasing its products all these years, then we won't be buying their products.

So? May I ask... Where was your TV made? Where were your shoes made? How about the shirt on your back?
The point is, we can't stop buying products because they are not made in the USA. Many things we need everyday are made elsewhere. Just a fact of life.
