No. I was a national merit scholar, I had a 33 ACT, and I was waitlisted at most worthwhile places, with a 2.95 weighted GPA. You still have to apply, and in your case you should apply to many places, and do so early.

Not any more. If you had gotten a 240, then maybe, but in the long run you'll need a true SAT rather than the psat. I'd work on your GPA...it should be above 3.5 at least, and the closer to 4.0 the better.

Colleges don't care at all what you get on the PSAT, only on the SAT. And whenever a school sees high SAT scores and low grades, they assume you are a slacker (you're capable of getting the good grades, you just don't bother) and are less likely to accept you - they want to accept student who will succeed!

It'll probably look good on your college application, but, GPA's the most important thing college looks at it shows whether your a diligent or dedicated student. AP classes are a plus and so are transferable college courses.hope that helps
