I have bought sims to so that i can up load sims 2 pets but it keeps coming up with please insert disc 1 but it only has one disc...So i clicked ok and it came up again....I kept clicking it then took the disc out put it back in again and clicked ok but it just kept coming up..Do i need to buy sims to upload sims 2??

Sims 2 actually came on 4 installation disks you would use disk 1 to play the Sims 2 and I do recommend playing the game just a bit before install of Pets then quit the game and install pets you will then use the pets disk to play.
You don't need the original Sims for Sims 2 but you do need to install Sims 2 before you install pets.

The original or base game of the Sims 2 came in two discs. You MUST have the base game for Pets to work. If you have the base game, put in disc one of the base game. When you add an expansion pack, it usually asks you to put in the previous installation to make sure the game is up to date.
