I don't mean like Love your best friend. I mean Love the same way you love your spouse.

sure I think they can. But loving someone and being in love with someone are two different things. I'm in love with my husband and I would do anything in the world for him. But I also love my best friend, but I would never even consider leaving my husband for him. I love him on a platonic level only.

Sure. I love my husband more than anything, but I have some male friends that I've known since we shared a crib together as babies and I love them. But the love I feel for them is different from the love I feel for my husband...I love them like I love my brothers.

Being in love is much different than loving someone. You love your parents, your siblings, maybe your friends, but you aren't in love with them.
