I have only read Running with Scissors as well. I don't know if I can handle another one just yet.
I agree his writing is good, entertaining and his characters certainly come alive. I also agree the subject matter was disturbing. It's amazing the man survived (and I'm not just talking physically) and has succeeded. He's done a whole lot of living!

I really liked running with scissors. I then made th mistake of watching the movie and it stunk! I just finished reading Dry it was good pretty much starts up where Scissors leaves off! I will read his other books for sure. His website is really great if your a fan. Threre are blogs and photos and such.

I read running with Scissors and found it very good but oddley unsettling at the same time. Disturbing subject matter. I would not read another of his books.

The book was disturbing but the movie mellowed it out a bit...
I love his writing but what a proud freak flag he waves! It is the only childhood life recollection I have ever read that was worse than mine!
I was a bit jealous actually...
