Hello,
I usually do it very little only if there is some sort of virus or any other problem that there is no other way of fixing it. But this is not very good to do because you have to backup all your data and reinstall a few things and it usually takes a couple of hours for doing it.

If it is a Mac you will need to reformat at least every other day, LOL.....OK that was for "Webbrew".
The real answer is that there isn't a schedule you should reformat on. Your goal should be to NEVER reformat. You should only need to perform a reformat if you have issues that you can't resolve in any other way. Some people are more careless about things like email, website browsing, P2P networks, downloads, etc. and their carelessness causes system corruption that can only be corrected through a reformat to remove the source of the corruption. Don't get me wrong, this activity isn't the only way a reformat can be forced, but more often than not it is user actions that corrupt a system.
That or they have a Mac, LOL.....just one more Mac dig before I go. Macs crash, don't trust the commercials OR the fanatics that lie and say they never do. I have experience and work with a graphics department that has reformatted more than one Mac.

There is no need to format ur HDD. Why would u wanna do something like that.. unless it is an absolute must. Because it's gonna cause u a lot of headache to reinstall everything back again. Just keeo ur anti virus program up to date and also anti spyware program same. You'll rest easy after that.. and if anything or if u find that ur program is running slow.. ie when u are surfing the net and stuff.. just run the anti spyware program first then defrag ur HDD.
Good luck!

Normally you would not format your computer except for under the most severe circumstances. Doing so is a huge pain and with a full format you will lose all of your data and software applications. You should run disk clean up and defragment from time to time to keep it running smoothly. Make sure that you have proper virus software (yes, its worth paying for) and that will minimize the number of viruses and spyware.

Whenever you need to. You might get a virus within a day and cannot get rid of it and need to format then. Or you could go 10 years without formatting.

You shouldn't have to format your harddrive unless you need to. You may need to format when you are having major problems with your pc where the harddrive is affected or software installed is causing problems that you can not resolve from general maintenance.

You should reformat your computer however often you jack off. If you're a normal guy, you would jack off around once every day. So you should reformat your computer everyday, making your computer healthy, like jacking off. Jacking off makes you VERY healthy.
