Hi, the only think I can think of is that you might not be pressing the sync button on your Wii console. This is located on the front in the pannel where you put your memory card. Its a little red button. Try pressing that button and the sync one in your remote at the same time. This worked for me.
Also, try standing about 5 feet back when you try the remote as it seems to work best about this distance. Also make sure your sensor bar is in the position you have selected, either above or below your tv.
If you still have no luck, contact Nintendo as they are really good about replacing or fixing faulty equipment.

Ok, I know how frustrated this can get, but try these tips:
1. Try taking out the batteries of your remote for 10 seconds, and then re-sync.
2. If you have another remote, try re-syncing that one too if that one doesn't work.
3. Reset your Wii. When you get to the Health and Safety screen, DONT PRESS ANYTHING. Instead, open up the front of your Wii, and press and hold the Sync button for 30 seconds. This deletes every single sync'd remote off your Wii. Repeat step 1, and then re-sync.
4. Make sure you aren't getting any interference off of Wireless applainces (sp?) (I.E.: Microwave, Cellphones, etc).
5. Strong light could shine off the Sensor bar and not capture the Sync signol. Turn off all of the lights and try re-syncing.
6. If the above doesn't work, go to support.nintendo.com, and send an email to Nintendo. Give as much detail as possible.
I normally get my controllers Synced after Step 3. Good luck with yours!

Don't worry your Wii isn't "broken" or anything ( Curses to the dude who dissed the Wii) try checking the back of your sensor bar, the wire might be disconnected or loose, so after connecting it your wii remote will be just fine, also make sure that nothing is blocking it

Is your sensor bar connected to your Wii?
Also, does your Wii know whether your sensor bar is on the top or bottom of your TV?

Ha ha ha! Your a fool too. I told many people not to get the "Wii" system because that remote will break in an instant. Plus having it wireless is bad to. It can malfunction easily. Have fun with the problem! Next time your better off getting PS3 or Xbox 360 system then that cheap piece of crap.
