It says 'No disc in the drive' when I insert audio cd or even blank cd. However, it's still working with DVD (I can watch movies). I don'tknow much in computer. I am not sure it's because of the drive or software.

I checked all of my drivers, they are working properly. What should I do?

the cd audio drive may be disabled, cause if DVDs work on it it probably is not physically defective. Right-click on "My Computer", go to "Properties". Then under the "Hardware" tab, click on "Device Manager". Then look under CD/DVD drives in the list, and make sure that all of your drivers are installed and working properly, and that the device itself is working properly. Hope that helps.

If you have a DVD R/RW that means it only writes on DVD's and not CD's but also. if it is the drive or software then the DVD feature would not work, there could be a problem with the CD's you use when you burn a CD, I have had the same problem with CD-R's some brands are cheep and are not supported by some CD drives, try getting a blank CD from one of your friends and if it works after that.

But first check and make sure it will work for CD's and not just DVD's

hope this helps :-)

Delete the DVD/CD-ROM profile on 'Device Manager'. Refresh and Windows will automatically reload the driver/s for your CD/DVD drive.
