Yes the number depends on if you mean the country of germany and the country of france, or just countries in the areas of france and germany. The countries of Germany and France have had 2 wars: World War 1 and World War 2, both won by France. but Germany has only been around for a few hundred years. The country Prussia(which later unified germany) fought the franco prussian war. The Prussians won. Prussia was also involved with the Napoleonic wars, and many other European wars against france.
