i,m sorry ,it was the ancestery dna test.does that make a difference

It's not accurate!

All the test does is show what your DNA is similiar to other's DNA who live in a certain region. That is a bunch of guesses basically. And who knows if that's even accurate. Anything they've done like this in the past turned out to be a bunch of hooey they were trying to pass of as real. This DNA testing is just a new form of scientific racism.
Just wait and see what kind of troube it causes....

I know there are certain tests that can only be done through one gender... I think one is for genes only passed on by women... So if you are testing for a grandmother, but the genes would come through your father, he'd get it from his mom but he couldn't pass it on and it couldn't be found in you. (I think there are other things that can only test in a male line as well.) It might be something like that.

The difference in genes between native americans and whites or any other geno type is a small fraction of one percent. From your great grand parents you inherited at most, one half of one half of one half of their genes. In other words, the percentage of Native American in you is not large enough to me noted.
