My husband can be so messy! Clothes on the floor, food slattered on the stove, mud on the white carpet. it drives me crazy. Why can't he just clean up his own messes?

Because as his wife, it's your job to clean up the messes, make the meals and perform in the sack....by the way, my wife just hit me up sided the head and told me to go make lunch.

It is definately a sign of how he was raised. Men who were raised by mothers who did everything for them, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and picked up after them all the time, did alot of damage for those men's future wives. Don't despair though, u can stop the cycle, but u need to make it easy for him. Have a laundry basket in your room that makes it just as easy to throw his clothes in there rather than on the floor, have a place for shoes right by the door, etc. Just let him know u work hard on making the house look nice, and u need him to have some respect for your work and at least clean up after himself.

Mine is the same way! It's cause their mommies and exes always picked up after them. Don't let him get away with it, leave all his messes messes or tell him it's time to start paying for a cleaning service because you're not the maid.

mine's the same way.....to them they have us as their slaves! thats why they don't care because we do and they know if we don't like it then we will take care of it! It never does any good to keep talking about it over and over becuse it goes in one ear and out the other....you just have to learn to deal with it or be like them til they can't stand it....like them not having no clean clothes because they piled up on the floor and no one bothered to put them in the wash......

I have to tell you that I always clean after myself, I'm a very clean and organized guy...almost a perfectionist, I keep myself clean, neat and I like to smell good all the time, I also keep my vehicle clean and I like it to smell good too...really I'm a neat MAN.

Because we don't care about that stuff and some of us r lazy. We go to work and brag about how great our wivies r and all the stuff that we don't have to do when we get home

Probably because he never had to. Did his mother always clean up for him when he was young, that would explain it. He expects you to do it, so why would he do it for himself.
