As opposed to how they were closed the eight years prior to Bush's term? I agree that steps should be taken to secure our borders but to claim the current status quo policy as a deliberate step by Bush to benefit the corporations, which is what you're trying to do in your own thinly veiled way, is hypocritical.

Corporate greed, with a substandard workforce, because of it. They get to pay substandard pay. The fallacy that the people in the U.S will not do these jobs. I've dug graves by hand but by God I expect to get decent pay to do it.

Have you had your head buried in the sand? He's trying to close the borders, deport the illegals, and build a border fence. The dems won't fund his fence, won't support border agents, and want to grant amnesty to illegals.

NAFTA (Bush 1) is a different issue than the fight against illegal immigration. Bush 2 does not want a border open to illegal crossing. It has been deemed a national security issue. He has been pretty clear about this in his last 2 State of the Union addresses. NAFTA utilizes major highways and checkpoints subject to searches. Desert crossings do not, and this is what Bush is attempting to close.

The Dow Jones is over 12,000 and setting record highs, earnings are up, profits are up, mergers are up, acquisitions are up, taxes are down, tax revenue is up, interest rates are down, homeownership is at record highs, consumer spending is up, savings and investments are up, the economy is growing at it’s fastest rate in over 20 years, AND ALL DURING A TIME OF WAR. But based on your question and some of the answers I've seen you give, it's clear that NOTHING Bush does is going to be good enough for you. So why are you wasting your time asking questions that you already have your own answer for????
