I love horses. Their willingness to cooperate with humans is amazing, considering the things we ask them to do i.e. race, jump extremely high fences and gallop with a rider over long distances. As long as riders are also considerate towards their horses, recognise they're individuals and treat them kindly and fairly horses are happy to cooperate. I feel sad when they are subject to inconsiderate riders, who treat them like a machine and expect them to perform as normal without even considering them as an individual.

It is the best dang thing in the whole universe. I can't think of anyway else I'd want to spend my weekends and vacations. when I look at horses, especially my baby girl, I can feel so much love and pride well up, I just love them so much. Horseback riding takes you away from all your worries and you can race as fast as you can to leave them behind. And the horses are such good listeners and you can cry to them and they will not judge you. In riding a horse, we borrow freedom. Horse people are truely sick people ya know, it must be true love to wake up at 5am to feed a barnfull of horses, and not get to sleep until midnight some nights because you are so busy, but still must spend time with them. THEY ARE MY WORLD!!!!

I am one of those woman who have loved horses all of her life. Horse back riding is the best of fun. When you love horses so much you really don't fuss about taking care of them. Flicka is a good movie out about a girl and a horse.

Horses are no doubt the most wonderful animals in this world. Riding them makes you feel free and........ I can't explain it. When you ride you will feel it. However horses need to be riding by responsible people, and with consideration to the horse who is being ridden.

The phrase 'animal magnetism' explains what I think about horses. They're big dopey packages of sweetness and mischief, whilst their size and strength means there's a little bit of risk in being around them.
Horsey scents are so evocative - the animal smell, the hay, leather tack, foot oil - one whiff takes me back years to some happy afternoons pottering in a sunny stable yard.
Horseback riding can be exhilarating, charging along forest tracks flinging up mud and flint and dodging overhanging twigs; it can be slow, plodding, rhythmic. It can be romantic, too - who could beat a canter along an empty beach! You can choose thrills and spills, or a gentle plod atop a big old moving armchair. Every girl should have a chance to get close to horses.....

I love horses! I have been riding for seven years! They are so sweet! I like western riding more then english because in western, you have a bigger sadle so you can ride more comfortly. But in english, you can jump. But I like bare back riding more then english or western riding. Because on bare back, you don't have a sadle or a sadle pad, you only have reins. It is so fun! You feel as if you are flying! Horses also have very loving personalitys. If you treat them well and so them that they can trust you, you will have a friend for life. If you make them mistrust you, you will never see a friend in them. They can tell when you are upset and sad. I love them so much!

Its a great past time and a fun activity. I haven't done it much, but have always enjoyed the times I have. I once went on a camping adventure where the horses packed in the gear. It was a great week.
