when all they did was state their opinion?
Believe you me, I'm not a Bush fan and honestly would have thought of them more had they made their opinion know at a concert in the USA. To me, they're cowards who said something in a place that they knew would get a positive reaction.

I admire them for standing up for what they believe in, which goes beyond their opinions of our idiotic president. I agree that making that comment on foreign soil was in poor taste, but it's not the end of the world. And had they made that comment now, after everyone realized that Bush lied to the nation to get us to go to war, no one would have been as offended by their statement.
Regardless of their opinions of the current administration or the war we're in, they're amazing artists and I admire the fact that they're taking the time at their concerts to encourage the American public to get out there and vote, regardless of who it's for.

We still have freedom of speech in the United States; like it or not. The Dixie Chicks didn't back down and people admire that in anyone.

They are considered cool now because they are trying a new type of music and kind of steping away from country music. I just heard their new song i'm not ready to make nice I think that they are trying to make a point on what they write

They're not cool at all, but they are very lucky to be so untalented, ugly, and stupid to have achieved success in the country music biz.

I didn't think they were considered cool. Personally, their political opinions don't matter that much to me. I just like some of their songs.

I think they're cool, but I liked them before they insulted W. But after that I liked them even more. So yes, they are way cool!!!

Ah you have it all wrong. They are the bravest people in this country. They have had death threats. Their husbands and kids have had death threats.
Yet, they stand by what most of us think but are afraid to say in public.
