Its all about the position of the baby at this point. Keep trying to find the heart beat, eventually you will. As for daddy feeling movement, try laying down and eating something sugary and waiting for baby to move and helping him to know when he's feeling when baby is moving under his hand.
Usually by now he can feel and see some movement like that, but with each moving week it gets easier and easier.
My little guy was right against my skin at 16 weeks and daddy could actually see him kick once in a great while. But certainly by 25 weeks both of you will be enjoying it.

It may be another month before he can feel the movement...not really sure. I will never, ever forget when I first felt my baby move inside. It's the most beautiful feeling in the world. I can remember being about 6 or 7 months pregnant and I was lying on the sofa watching television. Well, I had put the remote control on my tummy and from out of nowhere, either an elbow, foot, hand or knee knocked it right off onto the floor!

I also felt the baby move for the first time at about 19-20 weeks. My husband finally felt it move on Valentines Day for the first time. I'm at the end of the 23rd week now. It took several tries before he could feel it. A few times the baby would kick like crazy then as soon as he put his hand on my tummy-it stopped. Finally he caught it Wednesday morning.
In regards to the monitor, I've heard alot of the store bought ones like the BeBe Sounds one from Walmart don't work. But I've asked on here about buying or renting a doppler like the Dr. uses. A few people recommended going to BabyBeat.com You can rent them on there for about $20-$40/month depending on the type you choose. I plan to rent one soon.

I was 18 weeks when I first started feeling my baby move, it becomes stronger week by week. I´m almost 22 weeks and my husband can sometimes feel the baby kick, but only if it kicks hard enough and when it is in the right position. I find that lying on my tummy is the best way to feel my baby move and for my husband to feel it too. Just be patient it will get stronger week by week and soon your fiance will be able to feel it too..
Congrats...

I first felt my baby move around 20 weeks as well, and my husband could not feel it till about 22 weeks, lie down with your fiance when you feel it move and tell him to be patient it takes a few minutes for them to feel, but when they do they get all excited, it's kinda cute.
Those heart beat monitors usually don't work until the 3rd trimester, and my sister said hers never worked.

I'm almost 20 weeks and my boyfriend felt our baby last week. I can feel the baby too if I time my hand over my belly according to his movements correctly. Luckily his daddy was able to and he felt him. It should be anytime soon, depending on how much padding you have on your stomach.

Probably anytime now, but it may be up to 2 to 4 weeks if you are just now feeling it. If you have him press on your belly (it won't hurt the baby) he should be able to feel it!
